DMHA, also known as dimethylhexylamine or Octodrine, works as a stimulant to the central sensory system. Like DMAA, it was originally marketed as a nasal decongestant. It shares some similarities with DMAA in terms of physical and stimulating effects, but it is not as potent on a milligram per milligram basis.
The DMHA compound is widely available in two distinct forms. Those forms include 2-amino-5-methylheptane and 2-amino-6-methylheptane, the latter being slightly more prevalent in the marketplace and the kind that ELV Bioscience offers. The 2-amino-6-methylheptane version of DMHA is an entirely synthetic compound. 2-amino-5-methylheptane is found in trace amounts in plants, such as Juglans Regia and Kigelia Africana.
